    Dear lord... I'm so tired of this bullshit.

    SPORT=/=COMPETITION

    sport

        I was thinking of regular cheerleading not competitive cheerleading even though most cheerleaders participate in both kinds. Regular cheerleading isn't a sport is what I should have said. It still takes the same hard work and dedication to do right as does pro wrestling but neither one is really a sport.

            I'll concede the fact that regular cheerleading isn't scored and that they're not competing unless they're at a competition. But as far as school funding goes it should be considered a sport. Only homos and ugly women don't want to see hot cheerleaders!

            One of the dads in my circle of the popular kids' families I share carpool duties with was a college cheerleader. Cheered for NC State all four years of college. I wish I'd went to college and been on the cheer squad. Hot legal hot sweaty hot chicks and you have to not only pick them up but stare at their asses all day - that's gotta be the best gig around!!

              Using this definition Roshambo would be a sport.

                In cheer this is called a Toe Touch

                Seems like I've seen Dave do it a time or two...

                  Again, his technique sucks - legs in wrong position, toes turned in, but not bad for a JV cheerleader.

                          Martial arts?

                          No, just a really poorly executed Bow and Arrow

                          The only thing missing from Dave's early performances was a tumbling routine.

                                Sounds like someone else could use a Snickers too.
                                I went to concerts to hear bands I like perform live. If I wanted to see someone performing cheerleader moves I'd watch a football or basketball game. IMO Dave tries too hard to be the center of attention the entire time he's on stage. I guess that's the difference between being a lead singer and a frontman. When I saw VH in 79 Dave was a lead singer. At the US in 83 he was a frontman / lead singer. Now he's mainly a frontman. If that's what floats your boat, that's cool with me. If I wanted to be entertained by theatrics I'd go to an Alice Cooper concert.
