I still think Vito Bratta of White Lion found the tone Edward was always chasing and when Vito retired he locked that tone away and Edward is still searching for that magic box with his dar geetar... Dave actually got a map from James LoMenzo when he was playing bass for Dave but Edward insisted it was all his and like you said it went for naught because Ed cannot read or write lol

That immediately made me flash back to DDLR and the nite Dave was on the Boston Pops. Damn we were all psyched for that performance. Man that seems like a million years ago now. Damn, I miss that place.

Despite the general annoyance of Mike Tramp and a few blatantly horrible cheese ballads like "When the Children Cry" those White Lion records were more like Van Halen than the Van Hagar albums were. Still drag out the "Pride" CD every once in a while. Damned if I know what happened to the others.

You should check out the demos, that shit is actually on iTunes... "Tell Me" kicks ass in demo format and the solo to "Living on the Edge" is still my favorite guitar solo of all time, Bratta really did have the sweetest sounding tone no matter how fucking fast he was going

Yeah Pride is a pretty good record. I didn't mind Tramp, except on that really shitty song you mentioned. Geez, what a terd that was.

I still really dig Radar Love. The video is bad ass. All Vito is missing in that video is a Van Halen necklace lol

Little Fighter sounded more like Van Halen than anything Edward did with Hagar... but Bratta had a sweeter tone than Edward and unlike The Bullet Boys, Tramp did not try to sound like a little Mexican guy trying to emulate David Lee
