Eddie and Valerie attended a Party for Hall and Oates at Spago in December of 1984 after their concert at the Forum. David Hasselhoff was also there. Pete Angelus was hired to create a stage show/Lighting system for Hall & Oates.
In 1984, Tommy Mottola (then manager of Hall & Oates and later Sony Music Entertainment President) asked Angelus to fly into the in-progress production rehearsals for the Hall & Oates “Big, Bam, Boom Tour” and redesign the entire stage and lighting production for their national arena tour. Angelus spent a week creating the new show, working with their stage, lighting and sound crews and completed the production one day before the launch of their tour.
