if the new songs would have been stronger, this cd would have sold great.....alot of fans have BOV1 so whats the pouint ot buy a double disc with a few more songs and some really bad new ones. If they would have done this set right with some live DLR tracks, maybe a DLR demo or 2 and some deluxe packaging a killer liner notes I would have bought it even with the Sammy tracks. It's just the typical record company cash in......

"Check your history and you'll see that what we are the roth army hold most dear is the truth. "

I love how you change my name, very clever. I know MWM was #1 on the rock chart, I didnt say that it wasnt...all I am saying is I NEVER heard it on the radio. I just never did and I was between Philly and NYC so maybe I just wasnt listening at the right time. I heard Its About Time once or twice and thats it...and your right it did fall flat and "Up for Breakfast" won't do much better.

what the fuck are you talking about in that last sentence..."what we are the roth army hold" learn to speak and try it again so I know what you hold most dear, Id love to know...and dont say history, cause that is sad

exactly, I didn't expect you to get it. The truth is here in the numbers. Paying customers prefer David Lee Roth. Radio has shown it, the record store has shown it.

I could say history very easily, but because that isn't satisfactory enough for you, I'll say this: The future with DLR is better than the present with Hagar.

The only way for this band to continue is to get rid of sammy. All roads lead to Diamond City...

no history is not a good reason for me and there is nothing that shows that DLR is the better future for Halen. I say it isn't going to matter. the VH ship has saled and are nothing more than a nostalgia act, which is not a good thing. get them ready for the next Kiss/Poison tour and let the cheese fly, no matter who is singing. all involved should walk away.

what you hold most dear is the past. a great past but a past that has not existed for 20 years. a past that was briefly resurrected in 1996 on two MEDIOCRE songs. None of the songs that VH did for the Best Ofs are any good and are just a hollow shell of what the bands was and could have been but theory is better than reality

If you say so, it's a matter of opinion versus a matter of fact. Even if was just a nostalgia "Kiss/Poision" tour, the matter of fact is that it would do better business than what we are seeing right now.

So according to you, we should take them out back and shoot em?

When given the opportunity, you blast off about all the less intelligent members of this site who are pro-Dave then AND now. Fifteen minutes later you'll be posting on another thread how you are so pro-Dave and licking one of the Mods' boots. You enjoy Sam, you criticize Roth, you criticize Roth fans, and you spend most of the day on this site. Go ahead and write another paragraph rationalizing your idiotic behavior, dumbass

go to the Pen, boot licker

ive never said i shouldnt be in the pen...i blast off on any unintelligent post that adds absolutly nothing and just tread on the same shit...i have never changed my stance on anything. like dlr with vh and few of his solo effots, like sammy with vh and a song or two of his solo stuff, thought the tour with cherone was good while the disc was very un-van halen and very extreme, saw a current show and philly and enjoyed the music but thought that sammy sounded like crap which surprised me...and after hearing some boots think its time to put the VH name to bed and all members to do other things with their career. ive never changed anything i have ever said

Like I said, it's a matter of opinion. I still think DLR has a lot to offer and pairing him back up with VH just increases that. I don't think you can compare the Kiss cashout tour and Poision to VH who still have the capability to do a new album. Granted, the name has taken hits for sure, but like Aerosmith they are still going and still able to release new material. Kiss tried and failed and poision's new album is on Sanctuary on less, I'll bet money.

All they had to do was put a few live Roth tunes (with him singing!) or some unreleased tracks and they would have sold a helluva lot more copies.

Damn that is a big dropoff in one week. They will be lucky to sell 500,000 units within the first year.

Course the sheep say the BOV1 sold upwards of three million only because Humans Being was on it.

AVH claims that Van Halen had no choice over BOV1 coming out, but they had an active participation in the latest Greatest Hits album.

After it tanks, I wonder how soon it'll take the little drummer boy to switch the facts around.
