    Where's the press?

Have you notice there is no press with this tour. NO magazine exposer no nothing. Except for the rehash in guitar magazine. Big deal. When Kiss got back together you knew. They were everywhere. On every magazine, TV etc.. I don't see shit about Van Hagar. You would think with the shitty bands today this would be big news. Just go's to show nobody gives a shit about the old Van Hagar shit. People are going to see Eddie because nothing else is going on. Ozzfest has Black Sabbath and Judas Priest so that's cool. I hear more about that then Van Hagar. Why because those bands are great. Judas Priest got back together, they are putting out a dvd, going back in the studio for a new album there letting there fans know what's up.Black Sabbath is talking about doing another album. Van Hagar hasn't said shit about anything. They put out a best of cd and tour looking for a fast buck.Don't you think they would of said something by now?Maybe Dave is coming back? If Dave ever gets back It will be like when Kiss got back together. HUGE!!!

Here's a funny picture. Fuck Spammy Hagar!
Everytime I think I've reached the buttom someone hands me a shovel.

EVERY (rock-) magazine in germany had priest and the review on its cover...NONE of them had even a footnote about the van hagar reunion since it happened...and I was checking them all constantly...

irrelevant? less than that...I don't care if all you spamsters go there to see ed or sam...I don't care if hitch writes reviews as long as my dick that noone wants to read (and I'm sure that he's the only one who read the whole thing)...I don't care if you care what I care about...

I'm here to celebrate david lee roth...and I'm happy to see him out there singing and smiling like he did on the boston pops...and I hope I get more stuff like that...

When the Kiss reunion was on in the US, the South Australian print, radio and TV media gave it considerable coverage. Even the 6 o'clock TV news, which normally does not cover music, reported on the Kiss tour several times.

To this day I've seen ONE reference to the Van Hagar reunion in the South Australian media. A couple of paragraphs in an entertainment street magazine called "Rip it Up", back in March. The writer said that although Sammy Hagar is a lot better than Gary Cherone, it will never be the real VH unless David Lee Roth comes back. So the one and only report that I've seen was a negative one.

I've not seen or heard one more report on this tour or the BOBW. Nothing on TV, the radio or even in the local newspaper's music news sections.

What press is needed for this? It's a piece of shit re-hash of Van Hagar. Van Hagar nostalgia. It's akin to an Air Supply reunion as far as I'm concerned.

You missed my point.Usually when you get back together you kind of tell what your plans are which they haven't ,making me wonder if Dave will be back for a tour.

Bro, I don't think the sisters know from one minute to another what the fuck their gonna do. You are right that it seems strange that they have done NO press relating their plans to their fans. Why not let the SHEEP know that its not a ONE_OFF quick money grab, their in it for the long haul, getting along GREAT, will take up the tuba if it doesn't work out.......wait....maybe they don't wanna shoot off their mouths again and come across like the ASS-PIRATES we all Know they are!!!!

Dave's continued silence on this Van Hagar debacle is interesting. Does make me wonder about a long-term deal already stitched up.

I also think that the brother's snub to the media has resulted in a backlash of sorts, particularly from the music media. I've noticed that Van Halen friendly sites like Knac and Launch have for the most part ignored them.

Why should they cover the Van Hagar reunion if the band won't do interviews. Its not as if there's huge interest in a Van Hagar tour, or a Van Hagar dominated BOBW release, so it's up to the band to get out there and promote themselves.

I'm convinced the Van Hagar reunion is a one off and then, if it's not already done, back to negotiations with Dave with an "accept our terms or it's Sammy for good" ultimatum.

I believe this non-promotion stance is the brain-child of Ed van Crack head and his sister Shemp. Typically arrogant and dismissive. Really know how to treat the fans. Snub 'em for the entire 6 years between releases and then tour when your a physical and mental wreak!!!!! These two are priceless in their own way, full of cheap gin and hubris!!!

Man. Air Supply might have bored the ever-living fuck out of us back in the day but they don't deserve to be dissed like *that*.
