WTF is up with VH

I think the Vault is a lot more bare than we want to believe. I just dont think there are any burried trasures in there...some live stuff would be great but studio wise I doubt there is anything. Something tells me that the vault is made up of demos with Ed on guitar and bass and Al on drums with no singer....just various loops and shit like that

I was thinking about why Ed hasn't released a box set of classic stuff that hasn't been seen yet. I couldn't figure out a sane way why not. So I tried to look at it from Eds point of view. But I gave up. I couldn't get my head that far up my arse.

I think most of the stuff that is unreleased has already been butchered up and used in other VH songs. If you have the "Merry Melodies" boot, songs like Voodoo Queen have the sames riffs as 3 or 4 latter Van Halen songs. It makes me wonder exactly how many pure "un-released" songs there really are.

If you haven't bought the 6 remastered albums, however, you're really missing out. 1984 especially sounds much, much better than the old analog CD.

i have a feeling that the vh story is not over. the brothers are paying for this tour out of there pocket. wb is not backing them because they will not bring dave back. sam says there will be no new record after tour, and he is going on solo tour. sony records put offer on table to the brothers. and the hall of fame gig is next year. hmmm..... makes you wonder what the next move is....it could be the END or maybe.........they might need to make a little more money. you know a great big cash and grab of all times...
