Well, yeah. There is that. Either way, this is the last ever shot of Classic VH.
I'll order a bottle of Jack and a glazed donut, for here; and say thank-you, good-bye, and see you on the other side.

I'm thinking the last show has a few surprises - an Eat Em And Smile mini reunion would be very cool, Wolf might be there, and there could be a few other special guests (Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, John 5, etc).

    One final roll call?

The silence is deafening from the army, but I'll be there for the last two shows.

Rare that you see celebrities respond to media instigated bullshit with sincerity... At least Gene appears to have owned it and showed respect. Rare...

    Simmons apologizes to Dave:

‘It reminds me of the guy that gets out of a truck and says, “Hey I’m sorry, buddy, I didn’t mean to run you over.” Well, what the f***’s the difference? You’ve been run over’

Speaking to Us Weekly, Simmons apologised for his remarks, saying: “I don’t mean to hurt people’s feelings, and every once in a while, diarrhoea of the mouth comes out.
“I read that quote, and somehow, the way they put it together, I think I said something like, ‘Nobody touched David in his prime. Not Robert Plant, not [Mick] Jagger. He was the king.’ Then somehow, there was a segue to, ‘Elvis, bloated on the ground, fat and naked,’ and ‘I don’t want to see that.’
“I wasn’t talking about David, but that doesn’t matter,” he continued. “What matters is I hurt David’s feelings, and that’s more important than the intent. So, I sincerely apologise for that. I didn’t mean to hurt his feelings. It reminds me of the guy that gets out of a truck and says, ‘Hey I’m sorry, buddy, I didn’t mean to run you over.’ Well, what the f***’s the difference? You’ve been run over.”

Instead of playing KISS songs through the PA while those old guys shuffle around, why not just put on the artist and he can paint to their backing tapes?

Just saw the Mansfield Ma concert that had DLR replaced by David Garibaldi. Garibaldi is a good artist - but art belongs in a museum not at a KISS concert. I will give Garibaldi credit - he did paint Eddy Van Halen to classic VH music. If I could post a pic here I’d share the painting. Bring back David Lee. Garibaldi not a good fit for a concert.

Gene's just saying Dave got old... although all the face paint, hair dye and costumes can't hide his age either.

I'd say a 72 year old man in black tights and platform shoes isn't that far removed from bloated nekid Elvis on the floor... there ain't nobody that wants to see that shit...

Here's an answer from Gene Simmons:

Before the pandemic halted the tour, David Lee Roth was opening for Kiss. Now it’s the performance painter Garibaldi. So David is not back?
Not. But it bears noting that during Dave’s heyday, nobody did what he did. He was the ultimate frontman. Not Plant, not Rod Stewart, nobody. He took being a frontman way beyond anything. And then, I don’t know what happened to him… something. And you get modern-day Dave. I prefer to remember Elvis Presley in his prime. Sneering lips, back in Memphis, you know, doing all that. I don’t want to think of bloated naked Elvis on the bathroom floor.
