Alex said what Dave came up with was 10% brilliant and 90% garbage. I think we saw his best when that had to be channeled through the band and record label. We never saw the 90% garbage. Now with YouTube we see the 90% garbage because Dave has no filter. I think the guy was always out there but he was in a band and had to do shows and get the next album out. Now Dave has all sorts of free time and a YouTube channel to put stuff on with no external oversight or filter. I don’t even bother. It’s watching a completely self absorbed wierdo with some talent showing us videos of his masturbation.

I couldn't tell from the clip when that video was shot (was it recent or was it a couple years old), but the size of the stage looked - I'm assuming - a bit large for it to be set up in a room in his house.

Am guessing it was shot on a soundstage somewhere, like you said, as an advert a la booking purposes for potential corporate gigs...although from what I can remember he's only done one of those (which is to say I've only seen a clip from one of those) since he announced his retirement. I dunno...maybe he has been doing the odd corporate gig here and there, but I'd assume if he was audience clips would have been posted.
