Van Halen related things you'd like to see in 2023?
That damned box set that's supposedly already mastered and ready to go, somewhere in the WB vault would be a nice thing to see. Not that I'm holding my breath.
"If the American people had ever known the truth about what we (the BCE) have done to this nation, we would be chased down in the streets and lynched." - Poppy Bush, 1992

The fabled 5150/WB 'vault' material...
Yeah, if whatever exists ends up being made available, I'll have an interest...although probably not if it takes ten years or whatever: the audio/video boots have sufficed just fine for me, which is just as well since I didn't have a choice anyway, right?
I'd like to see Sammy Hagar killed by a Mexican drug cartel.
Happy new year, everyone!
The Cabo Wabo doesn’t pay it’s protection money and Sammy get’s hosed on stage while performing Dreams. Then Sancho Mirequez becomes the new owner of the Cabo Wabo.
I'd like to see any Live material pre-1986 professionally cleaned up and released. Other than that... any unreleased, non-bootleg versions of any vault materials.
"If you want to be a monk... you gotta cook a lot of rice...”
I'd like to see pro shot of shows 78-84 along with live remastered audio of those shows pressed onto 180 gram heavyweight vinyl in a nice box set. Complete with reproductions of tour books, posters, etc.
But this is still VH we are talking about here.
Cant someone please tell Jimmy Page to contact Al and show him what he did with box sets?? Al respects the hell out of Zeppelin so I think he'd listen to him. lol
The biggest crime of this band, in my opinion, is that they have no pro-shot release of the REAL LINEUP at the height of their powers. 1984 for instance. If the entire Oakland '81 show was released/promoted that's one thing. Instead, most people reference the Live Without Dave video when first getting introduced to the band. At least visually. Roth always talked about VH being a visual dynamo but never released a full live video? That should have been made to showcase Dave at top of the mountain level. The pure testosterone of those performances is incredible.

A lot of things even during the original era don't make the most sense.
