I remember at the time Ted Templeman saying he hadn't seen anything in rock like DAVID LEE ROTH since Jim Morrison!!!!!
DAVE is the TOTAL package: GREAT VOICE, KILLER ATTITUDE, INTELLIGENT (Rare trait in a musician, just check out THE SISTERS van halen), OUT SPOKEN, & CHARISMA. DAVE was a frontman in the traddition of Roger Daltry & Robert Plant. With some very unique influences thrown in a blender. The right guy in the right spot at the right time. I remember Chris Holmes from WASP saying in an interview in THE INSIDE magazine that VAN HALEN would STILL be playing back-yard parties if not for ROTH!!!!!!
