I don't know if the RNR hall of fame would recognise Dave's solo work in 2010 or not. It's not a given, that an artist or band is inducted on the time factor alone. I just dont see Dave's solo work has had the impact it did to break through the stereotypical boundry set forth by the RNR HOF. Really.. The HOF has become a joke the last several years. Im happy Dave is happy and healthy and still able to make good music for us die hards. But if his music was inspiring enough to induct him in 2010, then thats cherries on the sundae IMO. (But either way, I dont think Dave will care)

I posted this same question in an early thread about the RARHOF. Not whether or not he would be eligilbe in 2010 for his solo work, but whether he would be eligible now, as a sole canidate, for his contribution to the world of rock and roll not only for his work in Classic Van Halen, but also for his contributions to the video world, and as an inspiration to all musicians.
I got the same no answers, and sadly, I have to agree with them. But then meet the right people, who knows what will happen. And, Dave is in a position to meet the right people, right where he is at.
If, and at this point it is a big IF, IMO, Classic Van Halen does get nominated to be inducted next year. They will also owe that do Dave.
I don't think Dave is working that hard on behalf of Classic Van HAlen, but yes, he does want it, and and want it bad enough that he doesn't care how much dead weight he has to drag to the top of the mountain, but he will make it to the top of the mountain. IMO.
Its been a sparkle in his eye since the RARHOF began.Comment
