He covered countless guitarists in the old days. To hear him talk it sounds like he grew up on a deserted island with his guitar. Lies. His talent and the impact it had is no joke. basically He was next corner stone after Hendrix and we're still waiting for the next. But he should gladly embrace and credit his influences. But, that said, he seems to have hit a bit of writers block. He himself has said MANY times that he has stopped "worrying about being a GUITAR HERO". He should rethink that BIG TIME.

That makes no sense at all. I know players that touch on greatness at the same level. Im lucky, my biggest influences live in town. They were on it at the same time Ed broke. He should wear the hero thing like a badge of honor. He took himself out of the game so no one could out do him. And that would have taken alot on many levels of the sport we love. He was stellar.
