Was checking out the 40mb IPOD tonite at the local Best Buy, fooling around with the thing when I noticed that they had the entire VH1 album on it, so boom here comes the intro to RWTD, crank the thing up and just listen to it(they had it hooked up to a sound system) quite a few people walked buy singing the song, then some 19 yr old kid came by and started asking ?'s about the tune and the band, so I go into my classic VH speach,(meanwhile VH1 is still playing) "is this the band that sing's "Panama" "shit I didn't know they had this sort of stuff " I told him every thing and he just kept asking ?'s and I kept answering. He then asked which albums should he get, I walked him over to the VH section pulled out the 6 pack and stuck in his hands "this is all ya need pal" he asked about the other album that was there (5150) ," I strongly recommend that he should avoid this at all costs and avoid getting this BOBW compilation, they've done this before back in 96' so ya just wasting money. He walked away very pleased. Another fan has been recruited.:D
Not much but hearing that DDLR is comin' to town and knowing that I was able to help a teen get into some real good music made my FUCKIN DAY.:D

Yeah, say what you want about Van Halen but you have to admit during the Roth years they did record some of the most interesting shit as I am discovering them myself. Plus, Warner Bros did a good job with the "remastering" (whatever the fuck that is) with the original artwork for us who were too young to appreciate them in their glory days. I swear, if I ever hear 'Right Now' one more time, I'm going to fucking kill someone.
