Fuck those shows at the Gardens(R.I.P) were great CVh, David Lee, man those were "Good Times". Can't wait until the 4th. We should all hook up, man it'd be cool, should ask BT if he's into it. We'd have a hell of a goo time.

If you want to drop the BS, I can clue you in to Dave's latest set. I just saw him at the tail end of his regular solo tour in NYC and so he was back to his "Dave" set... not just the classic VH stuff he did with Faggot Hagar

ouch... it is probably good advice to get one of the many Dave bootleg videos from the last few tours off of eBay. You saw him the last time he was still doing his VH thing: Jumping around like crazy and not singing a lot of the lyrics!! He was always known more for his antics onstage than his affinity to reproduce the record. I think because of the questions VH put in people's minds about Dave's voice these days had a part in his new "singing" style. He paces the stage a lot rather than jumping and running like EEAS. The Boston Pops show was a microcosm of his stage show now. He REALLY sings the tunes and kicks ass doing it. I saw the Sam & Dave tour twice and have 2 bootleg videos of it. That was one you should have seen since he does the classic VH set. Now he sprinkles in more of the Dave stuff. There were no horns pumped into the mix for the Dave big band tunes. The two guitar players did the harmonies on the guitars. There is a guitar solo and a "band solo" where they all rock out on a groove. What else can I tell you... I am wondering how much of the new record he will do now that it kind of came and went... He only did like 2 tunes off of it last time...

As for the band, they kick butt. Brian Young does and amazing Eddie impression. It is not just playing EVH note for note, Brian really captures the character of each riff and solo. I can't understand when I hear sometimes that Brian is just "OK" at reproducing Eddie. I have a bootleg that is friggin proof it Eddie reincarnated... Hiring Brian Young is the best thing Dave has done in a million years
