I would say it would probably be around 20,000 or so, with a release at #75. Just a guestimate.

thats sad if it is 20,000 and still "good" enough for 75 on the Top 200. what a sad state the labels are.

I'd guess a good bit less, in all honesty, no matter the artist.

The overall CD market has been in the toilet for a good 2-3 years and once you get past the top 40, and even above it, the numbers are shockingly low in this day and age...

How many greatest hits album does one solo artist need? The time you add up everything official and unofficial (Rematch, The Best of Sammy Hagar, Unboxed, The Anthology, and all the other miscellaneous crap-ass mixes that Capitol special products has thrown together over the years..."Turn Up the Music", "Red Hot" and the other 48 of them), ANYONE who's had any interest in a Sammy Hagar greatest hits album ALREADY HAS ONE. Or more, to be precise.

"The Essential Red Collection" is a waste of time. Shit, if I were put in charge in putting this thing together, I could have come up with a better track listing. And the demand for unreleased solo Hagar compositions really hasn't ever been in high demand, truth be told. It was a complete no-brainer knowing this thing would tank.

          And tank it has

Better get back to the Wabo's and start touring county fairs, Hagar; it might be the ticket to revitalizing your solo career! Besides, I hear Mike Love and Bruce Johnson need somebody to open up their so-called Beach Boys concerts. You being a Jimmy Buffet clone might just be the ticket for next summer! :D

I could come up with a better track-listing myself. It's called a blank CD.

yeah it sad that those low numbers let people chart...not that it makes a big difference or anything.

disgusting how so many artists release multiple best ofs with essentially the same track listings.

I guess we'll have to wait for the Round Rocker's sales figures. One thing is sure - #75 is good for a lot more units in 1997 than it is in 2004.

Well...how can Daves peak at 199 and go on to sell 200,000 and Sams peak at 75 and not go on to sell 100,000?

Hina, why didn't you get 1st row? Tickets still available and going cheap...just bring a can of beans with you and they practically give you one, so I hear...hope that Hagar doesn't get to them beans first!

Well, on the plus side, you'll have the fifth row of the venue all to yourself, since nothing more than 3rd row will actually SELL
