Beyond the question of if these rumors are even true (which I'm inclined to think they're not), I'm no longer even interested in SEEING the classic lineup get together. Certain members of that lineup are just not up to the task of making it a worthwhile undertaking on any front other than a financial one.
Would rather see a classic box set released with a DVD companion than see a reunited classic lineup where 2 of the 4 members are going through the motions, one is giving his best effort and one is clearly out to lunch.Scramby eggs and bacon.Comment

I personally would think it be kick ass for an original reunion. If they could tour with Dave one last time. At least they could go down on a Semi-Good note.Comment

And you know, there's your healthy dose of reality. Ed's obviously not up to the job, and Al and Mike I think would probably just be going through the motions - much as they appear to be now. David's still a high-energy performer...and one has to wonder how great it would actually be if what you're getting is a tired, run down, old and broken 3/4ths of the band with David, obviously in frustration, running the stage and trying to make it work when the other three of them really don't give a shit either way...Originally posted by Terry

The only time we'll ever see the Classic VH lineup together again will be at the R&R H.O.F. induction.
2006 most likely being the year of induction.Comment

Another fabulous Picasso Brother moment!
Sounds perfect actually but I gave up buying into that idea when I heard the tracklisting for 'The Best Of Both Worlds'. Although I'll never say never, after Ed and Al releasing Spammy's versions of Dave classics on that CD, Led Zeppelin have a better shot at reuniting with Jason Bonham than Van Halen with Roth.Comment
