But that's a misconception that the SISTERS seem to suffer from: CLASSIC VAN HALEN FANS NEVER thought of the band as DAVEs BACKING BAND!!!! VAN HALEN were a band of equals. Like LED ZEPPELIN before them, remove one part and the band is NOT the same. VAN HALEN was the interaction of FOUR EQUALY TALENTED MUSICIANS. It WAS NOT the DAVE SHOW, OR, THE EVH SHOW. All four guys contributed DIFFERENT things that added up to THE GREATEST AMERICAN HARD ROCK BAND of its ERA!!!!
That's why I PITY the SHEEP who never witnessed the BAND IN ITS PRIME. Like DAVE has said, to paraphrase, IF YOU GOT NEAR IT, IT CHANGED YOUR LIFE!!!!!!
