I bought Best of Both Worlds because I only got into Van Halen recently, so I thought it best to get their Greatest Hits album, but.

I would buy the 6 VH DLR era remastered CDs, then buy the solo DLR albums. After that look for US festival 83 on DVD or VHS also on CD the greatest Van Halen concert of all time. Also look for some of VH DLR ere bootlegs, which has unreleased songs and covers they performed in the 70's and there also some VH concerts from the early 80's available. You can find these bootlegs on ebay or sometimes they are available to download on this site. Stay way from the Hagar era stuff, its not the real VH and Hagar sucks.

Most people here feel that Sammy Hagar ruined Van Halen after David Lee Roth left. On top of that, he did a lot of shit talking about Dave -- despite never meeting him, and claimed that his version of VH was better than Dave's, sold more albums, was more popular, etc. Basically inherited a high performance machine that DLR was a big part of creating and then took credit for it and tried to vastly discredit DLR's part in it all.

I dislike Mr Hagar for the reasons below

1. his voice sounds like bagpipe

2. he's tubby.

3. his has no sense of humour(has he ever made us laugh?)

4. he's not bald.

David Lee Roth says that Sammy Hagar is a bridge drone troll. I think he is a complete whiney bitch who is deathly afraid of the success that Classic Van Halen had that he could never live up to.
