I am just wondering what Dave was thinking during this tour. I almost wonder if they were both trying to see who would get the VH reunion and who wouldn't. I am a little disturbed by the fact that no one ever seems to be concerned with Dave's interpretation of things! Does anybody even know what his thoughts were on this tour issue? Or better yet....his thoughts on Sammy??? Sammy seems to be real quick to put down Dave...I wonder what Dave thinks about Sammy!?

Dave put his foot down on the merch sales dividends and that was that.

You gotta love the EMT training thing....big statement there and about the only one he's made.

I'm pretty sure he's telling anyone that'll listen that he can save it.

Just like in 86, Dave got sick of waiting for the brothers to get
their shit together. I really think Dave was giving a big "Fuck You"
to the brothers. What better way to do it than to launch a tour
with Spammy ?

As for Spammy, he wanted to tour with Dave so he could say
to the brothers, "Oh you are so right Dave is a Dick"....

I saw Dave on TV after the tour (and after all of Sammys
insults) and he didnt have a bad word to say about Sammy
and even said he would do the tour again....

I think Dave got sick of waiting, (For lawyers, and the Van Halens)
As we have seen from those three new songs, they have done
nothing over the last six years.

Dave knew EVH was not ready, Sammy didnt care.

Sammy is a woman. I'll explain why. My wife works with someone who used to be a good friend of hers and was even in our wedding. They had a falling out (we still don't know why) but whenever my wife and her friends get together, this girls' name comes up. My take on it is that it's just petty bullshit and just get on with your lives. But one of my wife's friends said to me that since i am not a woman, I'll never understand. So my point is with Sammy constantly bringing up Roth and bitching about him, he's a woman. Plus further proof lies in Sam' wardrobe: Pink cut off t shirts and capri pants w/sneakers with no socks.

of subconcious "Sweet old Granny" obsession happening.
With his curly short grandma hair, overly white denture looking

MISTAKE

I always felt that Dave made a mistake by doing the tour with hagar. First off, he didn't need it financially. And more importantly I think Dave failed (somewhat) to realize that many of the fans who supported Van Hagar weren't even old enough to have seen the original lineup back in the day, therefore it's no surprise they always took Eddie's word for everything and are unwlling to admit that the original lineup is the one that will be remembered. Of course they will say that Roth can't sing and that VH are better off with hagar. They spent 15 years listening to Eddie tell them this and buying every word of it. So going in the crowd was going to be split farily evenly and bitterly divided. In L.A. people were standing the entire time during ROTH and after M Anthony left the stage many people actually went to the restroom during hagar's set. Still there were plenty of kids in their early 20's who I knew never saw the real thing. And trust me they're the ones at the Links and they're the ones who have no clue and think hagar rules. I think Dave should have just went out on his own tour. Sure the novelty helped both sell tickets but as stated Dave doesn't need money. It was a mistake.
