The brothers are pissed because Dave declined (once again showing his superiority to the numb nuts) and now they have to rip on him publically. These guys have the brain of twice baked bread and are acting like little kids on a playground that lost their spot on the swing set. Good luck w/ Ed ever playing Dave's solo stuff, he can't even play his own. Of course Ed's lame excuse would be, I only create my own music.

          Dave tour???>

Dave tour??? Not a chance!!!! Dave made his choice back in the late 80's to go it alone!!!! And alone he is!!! What musical substance has he produced since then???? Yeah not much!!! Oh sorry he just did a remake album last year I think....no need to bash the bands who originally recorded that music!!! Dave unfortunatly still thinks it's 1979 and music is still the same....WAKE UP DAVE!!!!!! Oh that's right you did and went out and got a real 9 to 5 job!!!!!

          SAMS THE MAN!!!!!

The only chance roth will tour with vh again would come from a trip thru the rock and roll hall of fame. outside of it happening then-i dont think it will ever happen.

Is Van Halen finished recording new material, other than a few recycled, cookie cutter excess "instrumentals" waiting for lyrics to be laid down by (insert any previous lead singer here)? Maybe Van Halen has returned to what the band was at its incarnation, a best of band covering what are essentially its own hits instead of Aerosmith or Stevie Wonder. In this case the Van Halen siblings and their paunchy bassist should just hang it up and score soundtracks or something. I refused to see a VH concert this summer not because like many of you I despise his work (I don't, "Summer Nights" is a good a VH song as ever was played) but because this version of Van Halen has become perhaps what this band made fun of when they started. I'm not laying down close to a hundred bucks to watch a creatively stifled, internally feuding band retread nostaliga. With the aid of this web site, I have seen the light. The only hope VH has of recapturing any sort of relevance is to reup Roth and focus on the here and now. Otherwise they risk soiling their promenance in rock and roll history by becoming a lame cliche' like the countless 80's metal bands that tour fairgrounds and clubs minus the members that made them unique and real. Viva la' Roth.

Just came across this post, I posted about VH asking Dave out on tour this summer with Sammy back in the spring on the links. I live where Ray Luzier grew-up (his mother is my kid's principal). I know someone who is keeps in touch with him and he said Dave said no to the VH thing and also the opening act for Kiss this year. I guess the band was not to happy about him not wanting to open for Kiss.

Sam's nephew has posted about the theory of a tour with Dave so I dont think it's outside the realms of possibility... It had BETTER hit the UK!!!

Spam said on that VH1 thing "Now I guess the only thing left to do would be to do the Sam and Dave Tour, WITH Van Halen."

I would be curious to see what kind of per-show numbers the Dave & Sam show put up vs. this Sham Hagar tour that is tanking. It's hard to believe the sisters can suck up to the tequila salesman and play his oldies-station solo crap on tour, but wouldn't play any of Diamond Dave's solo songs. Of course, the sisters have had a hard-on about Dave for too many years now. I couldn't see Dave doing a reunion tour where he had no input, no voice as to design, structure, set, playlist, etc. Anyway, it's far too late in the game for Van Halen to go out and shop for a brand new lead singer, especially after the way this tour is spiralling and the reports of how poor EVH is playing compared to previous tours. VH is going to have to clean up their act and come crawling to Dave, or you can stick a fork in them. BUWAAAHAAAHAAAAAAA!!!!!:D

Hey fellaz...dont worry..we've been waiting all these years. Yet have only suffered feelings of angst and sadness, ;and desperation. Some have even shed tears. You've been hoping for this to happen, and as a fellow rocker..I promise...it will!!!

I do agree with the theory that after this tour with Sam is over with, I strongly believe we will see something happen with Dave and VH.

I don't think so. The Van Halen brothers, actually pretty much just Alex and lately Mike have attacked the CVH era and Dave specifically. If there was something planned, or talks were going on, this kind of bashing would not be going on.
