Lose my wife, my label and a big chunk of my fanbase.

Become so despised by former fans that some of the first class losers among them take pot shots at my kid.

All to lose a few pounds?

I think I'd be staying chunky, man.

Oh, the inspiration for the Makers Mark mashbill was W.L. Weller... try the Weller Special Reserve sometime... or, the "antique" when you really want to light up the night (104 proof, 12 years old)... yes ma'am!

Dave likes Jack, but I'll fault him there... the best Tennessee whisky (filtered through charcoal) is far and away George Dickel #12.

Barkeep! A round of GD12's for my friends!!

        :D

George Dickel #12 Takes the Gold

In a recent taste test conducted by The Beverage Testing Institute for Tastings.com, George Dickel No.12 was honored with the Gold Medal, beating 24 other brands in the Tennessee Whiskey, Bourbon Whiskey and Canadian Whiskey categories.

Dickel No.12 scored 93 points (out of a possible 100) and was rated “Exceptional”.

What is truly exceptional about this honor is that most of the other brands entered their reserve and single barrel whiskeys (the real expensive stuff), and Dickel No.12 won hands down, earning it the “Best Buy” award as well.

So we, here at the distillery, love it when some official fancy, blind taste test confirms what we already know. George Dickel No.12 is the smoothest and best tasting whisky around.

In case you’re curious about those other guys we beat, they are:

Man that shot sounds like it would taste like shit. Who wants an expensive prairy fire?

I'll stick to the bourbon too although I have yet to find my favorite brand. Knob Creek is good.
