I've lost count to be honest with you. But, I think all 3 marriages ended in divorce.

Just because someone grew up in a wealthy family, doesn't automatically make them wealthy...it makes their parents wealthy. If DLR inherited all the money, then that is a different story, but I know plenty of people who have wealthy parents, that have very little money themselves. Not all parents just hand over their wealth.

              Solo is $$$

Dave made more money as a solo artist early in his solo career, but made a ton of money on his reales on his own label. On those releases, he just had to pay for marketing (very little, becuase of an enormous fanbase) and publishing & distribution.

For example, prince's latest album was released on his own label---he pockets 85% of all sale money.

Imagine if say, DLR BAnd only sold 250,000 copies(conservative est.)....if he made $10 a pop on that record, then he still is doing damn good just off that album..., not to mention all of his royalties from his other albums...

Now, with the sisters screwing him out of money-i.e. through the royalty aspect (the bass player is making more than him whil playing notes a song), he said in an interview that he is happy still making "seven-figures american every year".

Combine all of this with his enormous assets, homes in Pasadina, Miami, and New York, and the guys doing just fine...

No, on the other hand, sam is doing better, becasue male prostitution is up a whopping 54% this year, and I hear on of the main draws are "fat dudes in capri pants."

oh yeah...How are the community showers up there in Fulsom, Samuel?

That would be true, but the DLR band only sold about 50K.

I agree, it certainly isn't anything to squak about. I wouldn't mind it. Just saying, he has made a lot of money. Mike Anthony, however, is the one guy who has been on the whole ride, been part of the greatest amount of sales and kept his head on straight mostly. What financial choices he made, I have no idea, nor do I about the others. Just taking what we know and making an educated guess. I'm sure this will all come into play in a month or two, when negotiations get underway...

Dave seems to be the member of Van Halen who spends the least amount of money. He bought his dads Rothwood mansion and lives in modest apartments in both New York and Miami. Dave doesn't have a huge car collection (which sometimes can be a good investment). Dave has taken some big vacations but he's not staying at the most expensive hotels and resorts. He's out and about with the natives.

Dave has never been married, so he doesn't have the expense of a wife and kids.

I mean, I think Dave spends his money doing stuff but it's not overly elaborate, I mean Dave isn't spending big bucks on gold teeth and big gold chains trying to impress people.

Even stupid Michael Anthony spends more money than Dave.
