Hey RothArmy,
Whats up. I was wondering if anyone has the video available from the 1996 MTV incident. I've never seen it, and I've been looking for it as far back as I can remember. I think I might get a sense of closure as to what happened and what could have been. I still listen to those 2 BOV1 tracks they are great and it's a damn shame. Anyway if anyone out there can shoot me a link to that, it would be much appreciated!

It's a great clip. And the only thing you see in it is Dave being Dave (getting the crowd excited) and the band clearly angry because Dave is taking the attention away. They were looking for any excuse to dump him after this. They just didn't want him taking all the attention away. They run that band like politics. They don't want anyone doing anything weird. It's about Eddie and no one else.

Every time MTV is showing a new VMA's, they like to re-hash the past with all these "Video Music Awards Uncensored!!" clip shows the week before. They usually cover all the past scandals and controversies, and they almost always have a segment on VH's 1996 incident. They might do that again next year, so if you're THAT interested, keep an eye out.

It's CLASSIC DAVID LEE ROTH. And DAVE is STOKED to be up there with the SISTERS & MIKEY. EVH & SHEMP can barely contain their contempt for DAVE. MIKEY looks confused as always. The place goes NUTZ!!! So DAVE steals Beck's thunder? Like tydhurst said, how hard would that be? Just HAVING DAVE ON STAGE made Beck invisible. Just a ploy by the sisters to try and discredit DAVE. Typical.

Yeah, that clip was the reason, the brothers already having a cuntract with another singer had nothing to do with the break-up.

I would say just the opposite, Senor Sniper...

If anything would get them back together, either pre-'96 or even today, all they had to do was watch the crowd's reaction to that surprise entrance.....
