The best thing that could happen is if Spammy bails on the tour and the Van Halens beg Dave to finish off the tour. Then all the sheep will see who the Dominant force is. They will go from selling seats moderatly too sold out shows. Even the BOBW album will go Double Platnum if Dave is aboard. how funny will it be to see 5000 people at a van hager show go to 17000 at a Van Halen show? It doesn't come as any surprise to me. I mean, there's a reason why Sam's only been doing press with Alex...there's a reason why Ed looks alone in the world other than hanging with Alex on stage and Sam doesn't look like he's enjoying anyone other than Mike, specifically.
There's a REASON there's a track pattern to Ed not being able to get along with his lead singers.
I say fuck it. Ed and Al obviously want to run the whole damn band themselves, so if/when Hagar walks, Ed and Al should just fire Mike, become the Van Halen Brothers Band and leave this fucking shameful thing behind in the past, where it belongs. That way, they can sluff off all they want, record all the garbage they want, they don't have to worry about a lead singer, and nobody will expect anything outstanding out of them at all. No hard feelings from the fans, because the fans know not to expect shit out of them at this point.
As far as Hagar saying "A new albums coming!", who fucking cares? David said on Letterman back in '85 that Van Halen was going into the studio in a few months to start arguing and get a new album done. You didn't quite see that happen, did ya? Just because the lead singer says something doesn't make it true...particularly when it's that Ass-Monkey Hagar.

Dugie is one of the COOLEST MOFOS I have EVER had the pleasure to work for, can't say enough good about that guy. While I don't disagree that there is tension in the band, I doubt that even Ed is stupid enough to fire Sammy's crew midway through the tour. The last thing he wants is even more bad press.
