    Vintage VH Concert vids

Just got done watching the '86 Live without a net tour with Hagar. Wasn't all that bad. BUT, just not the same as Dave, especially tunes like "Ain't talikin bout love" Alex and Ed's solos were really good but I have to see some of them with Dave. It's just not the same. Question is where can I find some good ole VH. Netflix ain't helping. Peace
There are those that do and those that don't. Those that didn't see what those that did had done and wish they had especially when "She looked so F#*kin GOOD"

If you are a fan of Eddie's guitar work, Live Without A Net is worth watching because Eddie is in top form and his live sound is fantastic. I have Argentina Television Footage of a Diver Down show from 1983. Eddie is playing good but not as into it as on Live Without A Net. Dave is speaking in Spanish to the crowd. It's a good show but not really a good representation of Van Halen in their top form with Dave.

Live Without A Net allows one to see how lame Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony are. They look fucking stupid the whole concert.
No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!

It would be interesting to see concert footage from 1978 - just shortly after their first album was out when they were so inventive, energentic, young and so full of fire power.

        *sigh*
        Those days are long gone.

Maybe some "mysterious tape" will show up?

i agree 100% but Eddie was even better with Dave in their '84 Ultimate Tour...Eddie was playing 15 mn of pure shred guitar with a lot of feel and magic 2 handed stuff (specially when he played the guitar with his horizontal system and had his 2 hands over the neck)...fuckin' unreal!!!

          C'MON EDDIE, GIVE DAVE A CALL !!!

Remember watching Live Without A Net when it came out in order to check out Ed's fingering on a few couple of classic tunes (this was in the days before tab was all over the place, and if you couldn't read music you had to figure it out by ear). His solo spot was ok.

Watching Sammy jump up and down, seeing EVH and SH in their guido stretch pants and watching Hagar fumble arounnd with the solos on the 5150 keyboard tunes were all laugh-inducing at the time.

If you put in Van Halen bootlegs on a Google search you should get several sites that will sell you individual classic concerts, or you could always check out the forum here and get a trade going with someone.

Some good ones to trade for are Largo 1982 and Argentina 1983, as well as the US Festival 1983 (which pretty much anyone who collects boots will have it seems).

                You need:
                US Festival
                Buenos Aires
                Rio
...and you can find most on eBay.

If you own Live Without a Net or think that it wasn’t that bad you have no business owning a classic VH video.

Get the fuck out of here jerk!

How in the hell did I passover Catshit. Calling me a jerk because I said the "Live without a net" show wasn't half bad. I started that thread to get some feedback where I could find some classic VH/DLR. I said I liked Eddies solo and Alex's solo moron. Did I mention how it was wonderful to see Mike and Sammy and all of them jumping around in their fag pants...No! What a dick you are, probably about 20 years old, never been to a real show and if you had you would have understood what I was talking about shithead.
