    BOBWorlds 418,549 TOTAL

Best Of Both Worlds has soundscanned 418,549 total as of Oct. 20. Source is Metal-Sludge. Also Live Without A Net (DVD) has only scanned 25,489 units. Not good boys and girls, not good.

"Not Good" is the fucking understatement of the year. The definitive Greatest Hits of Van Halen 2 CD set, the bands first release since 1998 and the return of Sammy Hagar to the fold yields THAT?!?

It's fucking disgusting. That's got to be a big let down for them...and sales ain't gonna pick up either, not by any great stretch...

Why would any sane person want to hear the new "Van Hagar" songs....

David Lee Roth was and always will be Van Halen

Why would any sane person want to spend $25 on material they already own? As said, if anyone was actually curious enough to hear the three new songs (alright, I was), why waste so much money to buy it when you can just download it?

              Outright stupid.

Out of the gate several of us said it would not sell 500,000 units and the sheep said we were out of our minds, spewing "double platinum off the new tracks!" bullsh*t...

Well boys? Where is your big, bold badass boasting now?

Silence is golden, Diamonds are forever, so shut that yap for good.

Even with Christmas buys by unsuspecting relatives this thing isn't going to bust 500,000 units by years end, or it's one year "anniversary" release date.

So how does that explain why this years GnR's Greatest hits release did so well? I don't have the sales figures, but in Australia the GnR album made the top 10 and spent six months in our official top 50. While BOBW spent four weeks and peaked at 36, and had three new songs and a tour to promote it!!!

And the reason it sold as much as it did was on the strength of the Roth era.

There are a lot of Roth diehards who are completionists. If he was featured on BOBW, that meant they had to own it. I just feel sorry for the poor bastards who opened the package and discovered how little Roth representation was actually there.
