The first album, man! Used to be "Fair Warning" but I it's been VH1 for quite a while. I hadn't listened to it in a while and I cranked it in the car the other day, man it was great.
Like, imagine being in a band & having THAT as you're debut album...
              GODDAMN!
I've also always been rather partial to 1984, cos its just plain fun!

i don't much care for the first 3 tracks, hot for teacher has been overplayed for me, i'll wait is cool but doesn't knock me flat.......but drop dead legs, top jimmy, girl gone bad and house of pain are absolutely unreal. i dig much of the other albums, but those 4 songs alone win the prize.

I haven't listened to II in a while. I always thought of it as inferior to VHI because a lot of the songs were I's leftovers. But I popped it in the other day, and DAMN that album rocks! And as far as background vocals go, it's the best VH has to offer. Women in Love, Beautiful Girls, Dance the night away, every song has awesome backup vox.

But as far as fav. album goes, Fair Warning forever. Instrumentally, Lyrically, performance-wise, attitude-wise, songwriting, arrangements, DLR in top form, Eddie in top form, Al's on the ball, the bassman (ed or mike) has that rhythm! I will never tire of this piece of rock n roll artwork. Fuck, I even like Sunday Afternoon in the Park!
