I am partial to Baby's on Fire and Drop in the Bucket. But there are so many decent Dave songs."FUCK YOU, YOU FUCKIN' BITCH! WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE ANYWAYS? TALK TO ME LIKE THAT? FUCK YOU. DRAG QUEEN LOOKIN' WHORE- YOU AINT SHIT. YOUR THE FRECKLE TO THE LEFT OF MY BROWN EYE. NOW GO MAKE YOURSELF USEFUL...OH, PUT DAD ON THE PHONE"Comment

Nobody else gonna say this one, I'm sure.... but my pick would probably have to be his cover of Night Life.
As I have always been an "old-soul" and listen to a lot of Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, etc... hearing his version of this older 'standard' about a year or so ago is one of the main reasons I started listening to DLR in the first place... soon after that I had to absorb everything Dave, and fast!
So, odd choice I guess... and I certainly love all DLR solo stuff (except maybe that reggae song... WHY?) ... but if I had to pick one, I think this would be it... at least I'm about 93% sure... ;-)Comment

This is why I love these boards....
Tough to choose...a toss up between:
"Ladies Night in Buffalo" - this song has almost a soul groove that hinted of what could of been with this band...
"Drop In The Bucket" - this might be the only song that Jason Becker played every note on. And here again, this hints at what might of been. Great lyrics, and the way the rhythym sections drops down going into the solo is amazing. And Becker's riffs are simply monsterous
"Goin Crazy" - especially this time of year
"Night Life" - Dave can sing the hell out of the right classic. Nile Rodgers' production and the rhythym section on YFLM was spotty in places but not on this song
"Relentless" - this song equals almost any solo song Dave has done for all around fury and sonic assault - even with a production job that sounds like it was done on the cheap (it was). Great lyrics (check out my signature quote) and John 5 hammers on this one.
"Knucklebones" - Love Dave's voice on this one and Stevie's guitar is all over the place like a raped ape...
Give me a bit more time I could think of a few more...these are the most immediateComment
