          ...

Favourite tunes; from Runnin' With the Devil to House of Pain and then CGTSNM and MWM.
TT: Wow, you can play acoustic guitar?
EVH: Sure. What's the difference? It's got six strings... It's a guitar! (31.12.1978)

Thanks danielc for starting this VH Favorites Thread. It's so unique!! There's not another one like it on the board ! And that's a fact !

I recently took the time to figure out what Hard Rock CVH tracks that I would over-burn onto a 90 minute CDR. Sort of my "Best Of 1978-1984", --without-- the overplayed hits and covers, that I'm tired of, or never fucking liked in the first place !!

            So, here we go.....

-------------- MY BEST OF 1978-1984 CDR OF CVH --------------

            Eruption
            Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love
            I'm The One
            Jamie's Cryin'
            Atomic Punk
            Feel Your Love Tonight
            Little Dreamer
            Bottoms Up!
            Light Up The Sky
            Spanish Fly
            D.O.A.
            Beautiful Girls
            Everybody Wants Some!!
            Romeo Delight
            Take Your Whiskey Home
            Mean Street
            Sinner's Swing!
            Hear About It Later
            Hang 'Em High
            Cathedral
            Little Guitars (Intro)
            Little Guitars
            The Full Bug
            Happy Trails
            Top Jimmy
            Girl Gone Bad
            House Of Pain

            ~ ~ ~
            Stay Frosty ! !

I love a mighty majority of all CVH songs, so I'd just follow the example of an earlier poster here and mention only the few CVH tunes that I never really liked and almost always skip:

              Dancing in the Street
              Big Bad Bill
              Happy Trails
1984 (synth intro to the album)

....and that's all there is to it. The rest of CVH is my most cherished music ever.
Music is like girlfriends to me; I'm constantly amazed at the choices other dudes make----DLR

Sure, I can take that approach, and list for you the VH songs that I NEVER really liked, or skip now, cause I'm a little burnt out right now on them:

Here's the tentative track listing posted over at Blabbermouth for the upcoming "Best Of 1978-1984":

"Best Of (1978-1984)" tentative track listing:

ALL OF THESE "HITS" GET THE NIX FROM ME EXCEPT (*)

                01. Runnin' With The Devil
                02. *Eruption
                03. You Really Got Me
                04. *Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love
                05. *Jamie's Cryin'
                06. Dance The Night Away
                07. Somebody Get Me A Doctor
                08. *Beatuiful Girls
                09. *And The Cradle Will Rock
                10. *Everybody Wants Some
                11. *Mean Street
                12. Unchained
                13. So This Is Love?
                14. Where Have All The Good Times Gone
                15. Oh, Pretty Woman
                16. Dancing In The Street
                17. Jump
                18. Panama
                19. Hot For Teacher

So, there's 12 songs that I don't need on a VH CD..... 2/3 of this "Greatest Hits" offering is useless to me!!
                Stay Frosty ! !
