If you really turn up the track just before the song kicks in you can hear really heavy rain. Was this an affect aded in later or was that actually there because it was a really bad day outside the studio. Obviously it was left in on purpose but was it put there on purpose is what I'm asking?

As for the hard rain, maybe it was an intended effect, considering it's a sailor song.posted by Ellyllions Men say, "I'll never understand women." I had heard that the rain was real, ambient sound coming from outside the studio.
They decided to leave it in because they liked the sound.
I know there's more to the story than that, so perhaps someone else could fill in the gaps.Originally posted by perilouspete

Roth said they opened the studio doors on a rainy night for a little atmosphere. I't s real. Do you know which female singer guests one line on the song?"Nothing gets a yak over a suspension bridge faster than 'Back in the Saddle Again' by Aerosmith" ~ DLRComment
