I'm telling you it was part of the show. Turned it into a big-ass party.

when i saw dave in 2002, he was doing DOA and sang, "sent the mayor down in his pick up truck. jury look at me and say, 'diamond dave, don't forget the fuckin' words!'"

yeah, it was schtick. but it was a kinda cool way to work it in.
