I really like the new clip. Got a great vibe and what I heard plays well into Dave's best vocal range. Lyrically... old school CVH/Diamond Dave. That's a key component. The verse rhythm and bridge to chorus sounds like a perfect launch pad for a kick ass Eddie guitar solo... also leaves room for some nice stop registers and potential for a little bass showcasing. Looking forward to hear the whole enchilada...
I know I was not happy with She's the Woman the other night... it's growing on me. It's not a bad song, but the main riff is pretty over utilized in a lot of other rock songs. This version reminded me of Molly Hatchet's Gator Cuntry played at high speed. I guess we'll see how it fits in with the overall album content.
Still pretty damned excited!!!"If you want to be a monk... you gotta cook a lot of rice...”Comment

I always loved that Down In Flames main riff and I'm glad they're finally using it in a released version of one of their songs. Sounds good to me so far, those short 30 seconds blow away anything this band has done in quite some time...definitely better than anything on VDIII and the 3 Hagar abortions from 2004. Ed's guitar sounds good and so does Dave's voice...can't wait to hear the rest of the song Tuesday.Comment

Since it's nearly 5 minutes long, you just know this song is going to take off at one point. It's probably a really dynamic track. I'm looking forward to hearing the rest.2012: 2/10 The Darkness, 2/20 Van Halen, 3/3 The Black KeysComment

We listening to the same clip? There's a pinch of synth in the background. Hate to mention the other era at a time like this, but the synth reminds me little bit of what's behind the solo to Poundcake. I think thats Ed's old stand by track-flesher-outer sound. Works for me!Comment

The vocals sound like something off a solo Dave album, but I like that.
