They played a couple other live, I know they did Neil Young's "Rockin in the Free World" on the RHRN tour, and they also did a cover of The Who live, but I can't remember which song. Obviously, none ever made it onto an album.

I'm with ya on Ice Cream Man...especially how Dave did it in his '03 summer shows, where it wouldl start off slow and bluesy like it sounds on his latest "Diamond Dave" album, and then part way through they'd just blast it ala Van Halen 1. A total rush, fo sho.......!!!!!!!

Hey guys they did wont get fooled again by the who. its on their live right here right now album. as far as classic halen goes all there cover tunes are just great. even the solo roth cover tunes but if i had to say there was one super cover tune i would say dancing in the streets. ed and al hate it but listen to the sound of the guitar , the bass its something that no one has ever done and to think it was done in 1982 before sampling and looping etc etc its just mind blowing. Long live Van Halen Long Live king Edward!!!!

You're No Good. A lot of energy and extremely poetic when you think about 1996.
The Fat Lady is singing for Van Hagar.

That pic of Eddie and his dad was definitely worth a save.
                              Thanks dude.

They did alot of great cover tunes that are on live bootleg as im sure you're all aware.....I think "Rock and Roll Hoochie-Coo" is right up there with the best of them. Eddie does a friggin awesome jam in the middle of it. (who knew? lol)

Studio album covers........I'd have to go with Ice Cream Man for it's blazing guitar, the great style change they go through going from an accoustic song to a full-on rock/metal/blues jam is just world-class Rock-assault entertainment at it's finest. This song basically screams out what van halen was all about, Dave, Eddie, Mike, and Alex...all their personalities/playing styles are perfectly illustrated.....and of course Dave's personality/performance/singing style contributed as much as every other part of the song......and maybe even a little more.

Dave "van-halenized" their covers as much as anyone did.
