The later seasons of DALLAS started to wane. The show lost some of the main cast members that brought so much drama to the show. That said, who really missed LINDA GRAY or VICTORIA PRINCIPAL? I know I didn't.

After a while, certain plots and soap opera elements on a show like DALLAS either need refuelling or one has to declare that the channel should be changed because certain soap operas become boring and repetitive.
