threads getting locked

to the powers that be

the rock and roll hall of fame ceremony is next week.
and the guy who this website is dedicated to is gonna be there.

my question is.

why are the mods locking threads that are direct questions about different topics of the rock and roll hall of fame ceremony.

i understand that we had a stickied R&R hall of fame thread for the past month and the mods wanted it used, so that there wasnt four million different R&R hall threads.

but there are different questions to be asked and issues to be discussed about the same subject.
it just gets overwhelming to follow a thread when everyone is fighting and going off on other directions in the thread.

i guess what im trying to say is.

cant ya give a little bit of rope since it is a onetime subject and let everyone do what the hell they want?
hell itll be over in a couple weeks, and anyways dont the mods get paid big bucks?.

But seriously, I'm sick of people starting a million threads on the fucking R&R Hall of Shame to ask a dumbass question. "Hey, doesn't it suck that this won't be on VH-1?" What kind of a fucking thread would that be, but I bet it's been started and I missed it.

If people can't post questions about the stupid Hall of Fame in the Hall of Fame thread because they're afraid it won't get noticed, well tough shit. If it's not a fascinating question, then THAT'S why it doesn't get attention. Not because it's not its own thread.

The reason the threads are locked is because it is basically clutter on the main page. I hate clutter. If there is a thread already there, then why not use that?
