Well, and I can see and respect your argument. Some good points being made, and am not exactly in disagreement with you here. This site and the rule "Don't be an asshole" is a good one

I don't think just "anyone" should be banned. But once someone crosses a certain line, or just kind of purposely spams the site to his or her own whim, or feels the need to have someones photobucket profile (both flappo's and jimi's) deleted, that's kind of fucking low. I hope you understand where I'm coming from?

Not only flappo's and Jimmi's, I documented then filed complaints with Flickr.com when exploits were used to obtain information, which was used to remove a photo I had created specifically concerning images "Steve" was using at that time frame.
There is no way he could have gained that information without using exploits. Moreover, had I not kept originating receipts it would have been near impossible to have traced what photo was removed.

Flickr.com did respond with policy change toward limiting the exploit. However, they also required that I go through my files, reclassify some, and re-approval. That was an annoyance.




As stated before:

Steve has 101+ IDs. In addition, he uses techniques to mask his trails. Furthermore, he is an pretty fair RGPer character builder.

If he was banned he would let loose an army of drone bots. Not to mention the vast amount of SE'ed marks he could invoke toward all sorts of annoyances.


For whatever reason he is unusually protective of the "Steve" ID.

Do not think that "Steve" is only an problem here at the RA. His SE goes beyond here and beyond the "Steve" character development.


As I was told, sometimes shutting down an account is not a useful thing because of the loss of tracking the individual.

I fucking HATE this topic, I HATE having to ban anyone....

That said, all of this speculation and/or splitting hairs is fine and dandy, but it all boils down to this:

The owner of this website, a.k.a. the one who pays the bills every month, even when deployed, has two main rules:

1. No N-word
2. No Dick Pics

I will also add that the "No Personal Info / Making personal threats" rule is one that won't be tolerated, but Sarge hasn't gotten around to updating the FAQ....

There are also the obvious ones, such as spammers, that are easy.... Everyone knows those get whacked every day by us....

And for all intents and purposes, THAT IS IT....

Unfortunately though, there are other subjective categories that rise up from time to time that, trust me, Sarge and the webbies fucking hate to have to get into....

If you're being disruptive to the site, meaning that your only purpose is to be disruptive rather than participating in DLR/CVH discussions, you're most likely gonna be gone as well.....

But the ones such as pedophilia and a couple of other ones are things that need to be proven....

That's it... No speculation, no splitting hairs....
