The quick reply needs to be quick reply...

As this website gains bells, whistles and countless youtubes, its even slow on a Mac...

One way to speed things up it seems would be to strip away ALL of the edit functions from the "Quick Reply" window except maybe basic smilies...

At one time, this is how it was, and if one needed to edit, they simply hit "Reply to Thread"...

Or maybe it's a conspiracy and I'm a racist hick as the lying moderators around here suggest...

You may be on to something. Any time I click on a thread that includes several Youtube clips (like the beloved and truly informing Stones thread), either home or at work, the site pretty much creeps to a standstill. This while using filters at work and No Script at home. It blows, as pages take an unprecedented amount of time to load, then finally view.

And to top it all off, after all that effort, all you get is a post with some windbag calling another windbag an asshole...with emoticons.

I feel it's a GOOD IDEA!

This site has too much bullshit to load already and EDIT functions on a quick reply box defeats the purpose of the "quick reply box" and it's slowing the site down for no reason...
