The one song that DEFINES Rock n' Roll for you!

Doesn't have to be your favorite tune. Doesn't haveto be a best selling tune. Doesn't have to be modern or old. Just a rock tune that spells out what you believe rock n' roll is. Any reason is good enough! But you have to give a reason.......otherwise get flamed!

My vote- Maybellene by Chuck Berry

A driving rhythm, classic guitar style, and lyrics that just simply paint a picture! As Bruce Springsteen once said, he's never seen a "Coffee coloured Cadillac", but if you listen to the song, you can picture it!
    Stay Frosty, muthas!

Unchained Just has this energy through the tune, Thats the song that Brought me into liking CVH, It showcases The Height of What a Guitarist and Frontman should be. Roth Doing His thing during the interval and Ed playing his ass off. The live Vid. also showcases this well.

Back In The Saddle- Aerosmith is One of those band that is very hard not to find a fan of, You Can hate The New Era, But I mean this tune is just great, Loud hard stomping Ass kicking Rock and Roll, Tyler Had attitude in this tune. Rocks is a Great Album and Captures America's Greatest Rock And Roll Band (I'm not Technically including CVH, Being that ED and Al are From The Netherlands. But CVH was the Greatest band EVER. Of any Nation period.), at its peak. I would encourage every new musician to pick up this album for encouragement.

For me, it would have to be Smooth Up In Ya by the Bulletboys. I think this because it's got that hornyness and attitude that hard rock needs. And the guitar has that greasy tone that just oozes raunchy

Hangar 18 --- Cool lyrics, insane solo. Fun to crank in car rides to the beach on weekends.

CVH - Jump. Everyone turns this up and sings along when it comes on the radio.

Well.....there is so much to choose from.

Kinda impossible for me to narrow it down to just one.

                      Some likely candidates:

Jimi Hendrix - 3rd Stone From The Sun

Led Zep - Rock 'n' Roll

Judas Priest - Screaming For Vengeance

Michael Schenker - On & On

The above are my four major influences of my guitar style, so it only follows those artists would define rock and roll for me.

That defines metal to me. Jump defines rock. Sorry for the lack of clarification.

Hah.... just for metal. Megadeth isn't my favorite metal band. I'm still searching for them. Led Zeppelin is my favorite rock group.

Gotta throw Crazy Train into the mix. (Ozzy)
When I heard that for the first time, I remember
thinking, Now thats fucking Rock and Roll !!

Black Dog (Led Zep) is another, but unfortunately Radio has
killed my love of it. (Played way too much)
But I loved it the first few thousand times....

Anarchy for the UK/ God Save the Queen... (Sex Pistols)
That was like, FUCK ME !!! The sound, the attitude,
                              ROCK AND ROLL !!

Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.. Quite possibly the heaviest
                              ever metal song...

                              Unchained... (No explanation needed)

                              Master of Puppets METALLICA !!!
Like em or hate em, that whole album
(and particularly that song) defined Rock and Roll
                              at its best..

                              Peace Sells (Megadeth)
Remember when they sampled the bass riff and
played it on practically every break on MTV ??

                              Electric Eye (Judas Priest)

                              Run to the Hills (Maiden)

Man.... Theres just too many !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BABY PANA 2 IS Coming !! All across the land, let the love and beer flow !
                              Love ya Mary Frances!
