      He'll be out early.

Let's hope it focusses his mind on having some big fights before he finally retires.

1 tune up; Pacquiao; Martinez; done.

With mayweather, it's 50-50. If the right douche gets under his skin...

Agree with Bute vs Froch. I would have to like Froch in that fight. I think it is funny that the WBC has mandated that Chavez and Martinez fight. Chavez' people are feaking out because they know what the outcome of that fight will be. Doesn't go very will with their protection scheme.

Indeed. Martinez is too fast for Chavez Jr.

Chavez Jr. is probably one of the most over hyped and protected boxers around.Martinez probably one of the best middleweights in the world.I really dislike chavez.Martinez Cotto would be better

I'd say that Martinez is easily the best middleweight in the world - probably the best middlewight since Hopkins.

He's too much for Cotto. It's end Miguel's career.

It was reported on the ring web site that ward had fought froch with two breaks in his left hand before the fight .

I don't think Martinez is big enough to fight at 168lbs. He's not even a natural middlewight, really, more of a 154lber.

Ward, consequently, would be too much for him.

Martinez should push for a fight with Arthur Abraham (easy victory), Chavez Jr (easy victory and a decent payday). He should wait and see who ends up ruiling the roost at 154 - plenty of young lions there - and generate a mega-fight when that guy moves up to 160.

Unless Floyd wants a piece of Martinez, that is. My first inclination about was that Martinez was too big and that, combined with his speed, would be a problem for Floyd. Thinking about it, however, Martinez has shown himself easy to hit - I think Floyd would pick him to pieces.

                          2 things to report:

                          1) The WBA have ordered a Khan-Peterson rematch. This is good news in the sense that we'll get another great fight; but I think that Peterson's accomplishments are being downplayed here.

                          2) Mayweather-Pacquiao is really heating up. They're both talking the talk, let's hope the suits allow them to walk the walk. Bob Arum is the problem.

Rumour tonight is that Pacman has chosen Cotto as his next opponent. Does anyone need to see that rematch?

Shit, boy. Fight Floyd. If that won't work, fight JMM again. At least that would be a challenge.

I would settle for that just to shut khan up ... i get his point but the more he goes on about it instead of sorting a rematch and knocking him out the more his stock drops.
