Talk about lousy ways to start a morning...I crack open the paper today and the first thing I see is an up-skirt photo of this "woman", which quite clearly depicted where her penis used to be. I was appalled, as this happened before my first cup of caffeine!

I have a 14 year old daughter who likes her, and I think she's great for that. Her song aren't about trying to get laid, they are sappy teen love songs. It isn't "ringtone rap", she can play the guitar and there are musicians playing on the CD. She writes her own songs, as awful as we think they are. My daughter like the whole album, not just the "one song she downloaded from iTunes 'cause the rest of it sucked".

Exactly. While Swift may be nothing than a tool for a failing music industry at least she projects a positive image and mannerisms for a teenage populace that seems to be losing that identity with itself. So her songs are more or less hollow renditions of boy/girl teen angst (as if Van Halen didn't do the same on tunes like Jamie's Crying) she not resorting to lame sexuality tactics (i.e., Brittany or Swift's pop country counterpart at the time Shania Twain) to sell her music. For that I commend her. Doesn't mean I'll listen to one of her tunes for over 0.3 seconds or say she more talented than what she appears but c'mon people, give the girl some credit.
