getting the presidency, and now its being
reported in Australia that Americans are
increasingly changing their minds about Obama ???

Or is this just crap being propagated and he is still

He's stumbled quite a bit assembling his "team", and has made some boneheaded rookie mistakes.

But he hasn't invaded any countries, or shredded any laws, so he's already better than the last guy. It took 8 YEARS to fuck up this country, Obama has had 8 WEEKS.

It's still out, but I'm willing to say it isn't looking so good on the "chosen one" crap. He may still be a good president, but all time great he is losing steam by the day. So far, his biggest flaw seems to be the people he trusts. Horrible cabinet appointments, trusting the Congress actually knows what they are doing etc...

politicians, how you address it is how
you will be judged.. We have a syndrome in
Australia called "The Tall Poppy" syndrome
where we love seeing people who are
too high up in the pecking order being
cut back down...

What generally good news is that. The government bought back a bunch of Treasury Bills, which sparked a mini rally that is predicted to end by Friday. What spectacular piece of good news are we missing generally? We won't be getting past AIG or any of this stim shit in the next 10 years.

And the rally was the result of stronger than expected financial and banking stocks: such as Citibank turning a profit...

Which words would you like me to repeat? Consumer confidence has stabilized and is up (as I said). Certain stores are expanding -like Target. Oil prices have stabilized without the massive speculator driven price hikes at the pump. And new housing starts were almost record I think (as I said). And the fear of 'deflation' is ebbing..

You can go back to putting your head in the oven now, or jumping out your high rise. But don't do it! Everything is going to be okay! The current recession/minor-depression shows if anything, the silver lining is that it shows that America's economy is dominant, and when ours' sucks it takes out everyone elses' economies...
