thats mainly the reason the eagles kept winning all this postseason . the other teams were commiting penalties that kept their drive going which lead to them scoring points. the reason they lost yesterday was due to the fact that mcnabb just sucked. he couldnt hit any passes when they were needed the most. but when he did they plays were spectacular. if the eagles won yesterday my mvp vote would of went to brian westbrook because he is the one who was the most spectacular from what i saw. t.o. was also playing a great game yesterday also. who i never heard a lot about though was dawkins and kearse. the 2 best defensive players on that team and they did not do much at all. the best player on defense i saw yesterday was jermiah trotter and he played his heart out. i would of wished that the eagles had won but the pats did. oh well, i hope its not another 3 years the eagles have to wait to win the championship.

Eagles: Mitchell just won't shut up

      News

Wide receiver Freddie Mitchell, who contributed one catch for 11 yards to the Eagles' Super Bowl loss, isn't letting lack of performance keep him from continuing to run his mouth. Mitchell appeared on ESPN Radio Wednesday to not only defend the shots he took at New England's secondary prior to the Super Bowl but to add more fuel to the fire. "[The Patriots' reactions to his comments] reminded me of little girls," Mitchell said on All Night with Todd Wright. "They're sensitive. Real, real sensitive." Mitchell added that it wasn't his fault he had just one catch, noting that the return of Terrell Owens "really took away from my play time and my opportunities," and also ripped the NFL ("The whole Super Bowl has become such a monopoly to make money rather than the game") and the Super Bowl host city ("The Comfort Inn suites were $500 a night for a regular room. Just the players' families—everybody really got taken advantage of.").

The silver lining here is that despite Owens' selfish trade demands last offseason and this year's tiresome touchdown antics, even TO looks like a class act when compared to Mitchell. Never fear; Freddie is burning enough bridges that soon enough his lack of talent will bounce him out of the NFL and into some low-level sports talk show gig.

Greg Lewis will be the #2 receiver next year.

I'm pretty fuckin' pissed that Greg Lewis wasn't used MORE. That guy is a solid #2.

I'm glad Freddie Mitchell keeps talking, because it makes the decision to let him go that much more obvious. The Eagles generally don't like to cut or let go of their own draft picks, especially when they're young, but I'm sure they will here. I bet they bring back Stinkston though.

Why...it's apparently the only thread with any play...

has anyone mentioned FED EX suing Mitchell?

for his FredEx T-shirts he's been hawkin'?

I don't think Lewis will be their #2...I think they'll try and bring someone else in...

Lewis is fine...but I think people are overblowing him...

most of you didn't know Greg Lewis existed until last week...

and I suspect...most of us won't remember him after next season...
