Man the olympics has put a dent in the boxing calendar

Next up is the ward vs dawson ... which to me is a big fight .
Think it could be a good un.

Bit of a difference in intial opinion between the pub lads ... i initially fancy ward but a couple of the more knowledgeable boys are going for dawson.
I may need to go check out youtube a bit more before i make a final decision as i am a little blinkered in my OTT flattery of ward.

Ward-Dawson is an intriguing one. Dawson coming down to 168 from 175 might be interesting: he was big at the higher weight, so the lighter one way be a real struggle for him.

I'm not quite sure how it will play out, but my gut feeling says Ward will win. We haven't seen Ward in with a technical boxer yet, so we don't really know how that will play out. But my sense is he's too fast, slick and up-tempo in work rate for Dawson to deal with.

I think all lot of the lads are taking into account Dawsons size and strength , and the fact he beat adamek ?? I think it's spelt who recently fought v klit, which in its self shows his size .

Yeah, but he beat Adamek with superior movement and boxing skills (it was impressive). He won't have those advantages versus Ward. Also, whilst he's certainly the bigger man I expect making 168 may render him weight-drained, and therefore the weaker, rather than the stronger, man.

Okay, so Floyd Mayweather has bet 3 million dollars on Michigan to beat Alabama tomorrow night. My question is this....what does Floyd know that i don't know? Why does Floyd think Michigan can stay within 13 to 14 points of The Tide?
I feel sorry for Floyd's girlfriend if Michigan gets blown out.

I really don't see that there's much point in a breakdown of Klit vs Charr. It's a joke fight.

I'll do a breakdown for Ward-Dawson though - it will involve me getting off the fence however............

I didn't even know who charr was I had to look him up .... Says about everything .
Am still gonna go for ward tho its close to call , one thing am not u decided about is am pretty sure that this bad boy will go to points.

I think Ward is gonna take it. He's mentally tougher than Dawson, who was crying about making the weight in the bit of last week's 24/7 I caught...

I think Ward will take it, too. We've never seen him in with a boxer as good as Dawson, but I don't think that will matter.

So is Jermain Taylor.
Martinez and Chavez are fighting soon,
Danile Geale just defeated Sturm - who's been a champ forEVER - and looks hot to go.
And Golvolokin looked very impressive indeed last Saturday night - I seriously hope he gets the Martinez/Chavez winner.

Am I the nly one that thinks Martinez is going to beat the shit out of Chavez? Dude's way too fast and ring savvy for Chavez at this point...anything's possible, I but I don't see Chavez pulling this one out...
