Wooden-spooners last year, the Sydney Roosters will challenge for a place in the NRL grand final after a crushing 34-12 win over an injury-decimated Penrith on Saturday night.

And who would've thought that the best thing that could possibly happen to the Roosters was getting rid of Willie Mason. *end sarcasm* I like it!!
After his performance last night, It's almost high time for Petro Civoniceva (aka "Fridge 'N' Freezer" aka "Seventy Cents A Litre") to hang up his boots now.
I don't like to predict which 2 teams will make it (being Dragons supporter don't wanna send off any dodgey omens) but I think will be Dragons v Titans final - although would be nice to see Roosters make it to bring back some nostalgia.
Well, since it's another week before having to wait for more exciting matches instore for us - and given much time until then will be spent on enduring Danny Weidler "exclusives", annoying X-Factor promos, and more news about broken election promises by Ms Gillard - I thought I'd spice this thread with some good ole beer/bourbon ads from the past that makes ad breaks during the footy enjoyable...
todd rundgren.
tigers v dragons, benji thinks he's the underdog.
roosters v titans, a mini will play in the gf.
i've been a tipping jeneus all year,
look at the match ups in the halves, centres, wings, and forwards.
tiges are on a roll. them by 4. their defence has been awesome, low score.
titans will be imposssible to beat at home. a full strength roosters side will be bashed by the titans.
speed and strength and commitment.
bit of experience too, i hope they get there for all the old fellas.
I'm gonna go Dragons by 10 - although I feel most of the game will indeed be fairly tight but I think they'll wear the Tigers down in the 2nd half through faith and their renewed-discipline to add on a few more points. And despite coming off a week's rest they'll be too methodical not to allow themselves to choke again this year, and the Tigers will just get caught up in their (supposedly deserved) fairytale. I hope I'm right...
Titans by 4 - I'm predicting that the Roosters will certainly give them a run for their money and will be a tight game the whole way through. To be a real cracker!
