Your kidding right? I guess you havent seen any classic Flair/Steamboat matches, if you think anything Hogan did compares to those matches then we apparently watch wrestling for very different reasons....

I was just saying to a bud the other day, who is a huge wrestling fan,........"Name one "Classic" Hogan match, besides the one with Andre at Wrestle Mania......"
Hogan transcended the sport....but was FAR inferior a wrestler to FLAIR. Hogan was the catylst that ended the old school of wrestling. FLAIR was the last "true" champion in the "classic" sense of Gagne & the Strangler.
Yeah, every match he's been in, his opponent usually carries the match because Flair can only do so much like scrape the eyes, low blow, figure four leg lock, yada, yada, yada.
Sorry, he doesn't hold a candle to the technicality of the likes of HBK(1992-1998) or Bret Hart.
Flair is Triple H's idol. That should tell you how great a wrestler Flair was.

Nah dude, the best Bio besides Mick's is Tom Billington's book Pure Dynamite (The Dynamite Kid) if you can find it, I have almost all of them out there and I'm telling you that one is 2'nd best....
Poor Tom spends his days bitter in a wheelchair now, thats what drugs and steroids will do....

I never said he was a better wrestler then either of those two, you made it out like Hogan was a better wrestler....Flair can outwrestle Hogan on his worst day.....
Oh yeah, and Hogan still licks donkey dick....

I wasn't comparing wrestling skills so much as comparing the impact of their matches.
Of course, Flair didn't have that great exposure that the WWF had in the 80s, which isn't his fault.
But I find it somewhat funny how everyone seems to put him on some pedestal.
There were much better wrestlers out there in his time.
Namely, Ricky Steamboat, Sting, Greg Gagne, etc.
I wouldn't encourage anyone to watch Ric Flair matches if they want to watch pure wrestling technique.

Sting? The only reason Sting looked so good is Flair put him over that way, I bet Sting would say the same thing.....
That said, Sting was an average wrestler, I could think of many who were far worse....

You hit the nail on the head, Bug.
That`s why Flair is the greatest.
He makes every opponent look as if they could beat him and made them look good, even when they aren`t.
Hogan was almost the opposite.
How the "Wrestlemania IV" main event of Hogan V Warrior didn`t turn out to be the worst main event ever is still a mystery to me.
They had about five moves between them.
Hogan couldn`t tell a wrist lock from a wrist watch, as Gorilla Monsoon would say.
Talking about books, I must say I was really looking forward to Flair's but didn't think it delivered. Piper & Flair both tell the story of the Carribean problem they encountered and Piper's version was so much better. I also felt that it was too political & was afraid that I was going to start reading about how HHH is the best in the business at receiving blowjobs.
If you want a funny book that goes behind the scenes I really recommend you get Pipers book. The stories & his delivery of them are laugh out loud funny. I also recommend Heenan's first book (while not a great historical behind the scenes book, it is also laugh out loud funny).
As far as the other books mentioned, Dynamite Kid's came across as too bitter for my taste & there were many inaccuracies in the book. He actually comes off as such an asshole you feel he deserves his current fate.
I didn't like the AA book because he tries to keep character & it floats between kayfabe & real which makes it really annoying.
