I may get killed by the Internet wrestling fans but I think the WWE has turned a corner and has had some really good TV for the past few months. They've established some new talent at the top of the card (batista & Cena), the matches have gotten better, and some of the storylines have made the shows must see (draft, ECW, surpises like Hogan coming back, goldrush tournament). Are there some bad things on the shows? Of course, but when haven't there been some segments that made you want to change the channel (even during the attitude era there were things worse than Kane/Lita)?

I actually enjoyed Raw tonight. The Angle/Flair match & interview were great, Hogan's appearance was a total surprise, and seeing RVD again was COOL (pardon the pun). I'm just scared about the Diva search.

On another note, I can't believe they have come out with the ECW DVD so quickly.

I totally agree. I'm watching again for the first time in years. I like HHH, but it was getting old- good to see some new developments.

I have to agree with you, the programming has been much better.

Shawn Michaels new act sucks though. Good for him thats he a born again Christian in real life, but he totally killed the persona of what in my opinion was one of the greatest characters of all time.

The womanizing, cocky, arrogant Heartbreak Kid. I don't need a born again HBK.

The programming for the most part has been improved.

first of all,no they have not established new "talent".Batista is a Joke because he is nearly 40 and is still shit, and Cena....dont get me stated again. And no they have not had any must see story lines, the draft has been done like 2 times before, the ECW was good but not a must see, hogan has had about 6 last matches in his career and the tournament im on the fence for this one.
And i challenge you to find anything in the attitude era worse than Kane and Lita
I really love you baby, I love what you've got

                Mae Young & Mark Henry
                Mark Henry & Sammy
                Vince as the higher power
                Vince interview with Melanie Pillman
Kennel from hell match (the entire Al Snow Bossman feud)
                The gangwars of 98
All worse than Kane/Lita (and the Matt Hardy real life thing gives it any edgy element that has been severely missing since the Attitude era)

Batista being 40 doesn't make him a joke. Flair is almost 60 & had an incredible match last night. He is very over with the crowd & his matches are entertaining.

Cena is also very over and has had 2 straight very good PPV matches against totally different styles of opponents.

Even though the draft has been done twice before, it is still very entertaining.

Whether it was Hogan's last match or not, his being there was a total surprise & in small doses I enjoy the Hulkster very much

If you were an ECW fan then it was a must see. I totally marked out when I saw Sandman, Dreamer, Axl & Balls appear on Raw.

ECW was good ill admit that.you cannot compare batista to the nature boy.naitch is the 16 time champ(16 recognised title reigns that is).i would cut batista some slack if he were maybe 25 but to be that bad at 40.he is in my mind a waste of a main event spot.i would much rather see the likes of Booker T and RVD in the main event scene than Batista and John Cena.people dont like cena because he's a good wrestler because he isnt, they just totaly back the character because he's the "cool guy" that the young fans love.he is great at working the crowd but he lacks in ring skills

Ring skills are overrated when it comes to being the champ. The champs job is to put buts every 18 inches & make people order PPV's. The most succesful champs in this regard Austin & Hogan had horrible in ring skills yet had the charisma to make wrestling bigger than before they came along. In all fairness to Austin, he was a great in-ring technician prior to Owen HArt scrweing up his neck.

I'll post another quiz next week, but I want to make it more specialized than the one I did. It covered too many areas & eras. If anyone has any special area they want to test their knowledge (territories, eras or particular wrestlers) on then let me know & I'll try to stump you.

I dont think I will be picking up the DVD, they are redoing shit on it, what a joke, glad I seen the original show....

On the ECW One Night Stand DVD, the themes for the Dudleys and Sandman were changed. Sandman's entrance was to a generic wordless knockoff.(Instead of Enter Sandman) They also managed to bleep all the swearing out of the DVD.
