I've been listening to this album a lot lately myself. The new singer Tony Mills, does a very good job to. I agree that it's 50/50 good/bad song on it, but it's got Tekrö on it. He's great, and he lives not far from me. Nice guy!
Not a fan of Mills. I think he did a decent job of trying to sound like Tony Harnell on about three songs. I appreciate that he ain't Harnell, but I don't understand why he just didn't be himself for the whole album...oh wait, yeah I do. I do feel for him, though. Those are some big shoes to fill.

Ronni's just awesome! Best guitar player out there.

United Abominations, which I have found to be a very pleasant surprise. It could stand to do without the "A Tout Le Monde" remake with the chick singing , but otherwise a great return to form.

i actually think the remake's not bad, i actually like his voice better in it and think it sounds pretty good with the chick as the backup. the solo also sounds better.

my favorite songs on the album are play for blood, sleepwalker, amerikhastan, and the title track. there's so many solos everywhere it's awesome......good to see dave carrying the shred torch

Type O negative - Dead Again

After several listens, it is easily my favourite thing they've done: dark, brooding, epic and full of energy...

                      Mixing it up today.

                      Bad Religion - Suffer

                      Therapy? - Semi-detached.

Wasn't over keen on it when it came out in 1998, but it's really grown on me. the songwriting on offer here is impeccable, and no-one sounds like this band - a schizophrenic punk/metal crossover.

                      Ozzy - Black Rain

Well fuck you, I like it!

Seriously, two shitty ballads aside there is some decent stuff here. Not amazing, and certainly not "Blizzard...". "Diary..." or even "Bark...", but solid nonethless. Much better than "Down to Earth" or "Ozzmosis", there is some heavy shit on display.

Janis Joplin: "Kozmic Blues", one of my all-time faves.

Verily, who could ever compete with Janis?
