I like it a lot as well.

To me, I like it much more than Down I or II because I like the new vocal approach.

Go figure! I don't like Anselmo's screaming on I or II, but I can't get enough of Åkerfeldt conjuring the dead in Bloodbath! :D

                  That's an interesting take!

I love Anselmo's vocals on this one, but then again I loved the screaming too!

I also don't like the screaming Pantera (Fucking Hostile). I prefer Cowboys, etc...

If people want to get technical about Pantera "Selling out".... Well, Cowboys was a sellout! They started off as a hair band!

I like all the Phil-era Pantera records, and to my ears Phil is one of the only guys who can scream and still communicate a sense of his own personality, he's one of the few guys who does the scream thing in a unique way.

                        But, each to their own

Didn't Tiki and I tell ya? It's incredible.

Just when you think something can't get any heavier, it does and it blows you away!

I know EXACTLY what you mean! After that fantastic opening riff, part of me thought "is the rest of the record going to live up to THIS?" and it does - they just nail it.

It's amazing how - unlike so many other "supergroups" - they all work together as a band: there's no discernable driving or dominant member in the music, rather they all blend together and make a real band.

                              Fuckin' great, great record.
