      It fucking kicks ass!

You said it DLR7884. no shred, no speed but man oh man does that one carry a huge set of balls!!

Any David Gilmour solo for that fact, the one in Time and the one on Money as well. He is very under rated.

Maybe not exactly my favorite but one of the favorites of mine is

Skid Row's "I remember you" solo, always thought it was really heartfelt solo.

It is impossible to choose a favorite solo, but I am very partial to Bark at the Moon. Jake E. Lee was awesome and got no respect, even from Ozzy.
Yeah right she says, maybe in your dreams!

Jake E. Lee never gets the respect he deserves. He's so underrated! He's up there with Zakk Wylde and Randy Rhoads in my opinion.

Yeah, the solo on 'Hollow Years' of the Budokan DVD kicks ASS! And the best thing is, I don't think even John Petrucci himself realised what he was doing. Seemed to me he just went with the flow. James LaBrie was also pretty ameazed, you can tell that by the way he's looking at John and shouting his name to the crowd: "Mr. John Petrucci!"

As for my favorites, well... the solo on 'Hail and Kill' gets my vote as the best solo ever, although any solo by Ross the Boss is fookin' grate in my opinion. The man really puts - or used to, is he still playing? - his soul into everything he did.

Riff... hmm... difficult, really. Manowar's 'Blow Your Speakers'? 'Burn' also has a pretty kickass riff.

In VH/DLR department, I'd have to go with the riff to 'Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love' and the solo on 'Ladies Night in Buffalo?'.

                            Cheers! :bottle:

Fave solo : tie between Dio's "I Speed At Night" and Van Halen's "Sinner's Swing!"

Fave riff : Probably "Unchained". Always gets my blood racing when I hear it.
