When I was flicking through a few guitar magazines...

i was reading an old issue of Total Guitar magazine and I decided to read this New Found Glory interview, because I saw, somewhere in the beginning of the mag, that they were going to moan about guitarist who play too fast. what i reead shows how pretty bloody stupid these emo guitarists can be. they even call themselves punk, somewhere in the interview. anyway, i'll show you this bit.

TG: Is Catalyst more of a technical album?
Steve Klein: "Put it this way: for this record I have to wear my guitar a little higher. There's some definite three-chord stuff too, but I think people know we can do that now."
TG then throw Eddie Van Halen into the mix, expecting a stony silence and tumbleweed.
SK: "I definitely respect him. OK, here's how it is with guitar players. You walk into a music shop and it's like [makes a Satriani-esque widdly widdly noise]. And that's amazing, but those people will never be in bands, because they can't write a structured song. There's so many brilliant players in South Florida, but they're trapped doing their own thing in their own world because they're so much better than anyone else. You get these people that are so good at guitar they can't plat a simple thing."

OK, that may not seem like much to you, but to me it's like he's saying that he's the best guitarist and he can write a good song, which NFG most definitely can't. He says that virtuosos will never be in bands. What about EVH?! What about Vai?! What about Becker?! I'm sure Van Halen and David Lee Roth didn't suck with those guitarists in, and they're like three of the greatest guitarists ever.

Put it this way, will we remember Steve Klein in 10 years or EVH?

Yeah! Music now is so fucking terrible because guitar players are so "good" at playing structured songs! All I got to say is, "this motherfucker will not be remembered tomorrow let alone 10 years from now. These utter jackasses are sitting at 14:59 in their 15 mins of fame"!

Fuckem ALL! If stupid shit like that is the future of music I'm just gonna save myself the pain and just blow both eardrums so they can't punish me with that poor ass playing he's so proud of. I saw Hoobastank open for Velvet Revolver two weeks ago and that was the longest 40 mins of my life. I'd rather of been held captive in the "Bloody Tower Of London" during its long period of usefullness than go through that shit again. Straight up! If I ever become a POW I can deal with the broken bones, the long nights, and any other torture they can dream up but if they start playing anything that's come out since 92 I'll fucking give them everything they want including the grenade in my pocket. They're in such a hurry to get to ALLAH they're willing to blow themselves up. I'm willing to beat em to the punch and drop their sorry ass off at his front door on my way to hell.
        Don't mean to offend anyone!
Wait! I'm in America I don't have to apologize so fuck off!

So, that just made me think of something. They consider themselves a martyr by killing themselves taking out as many enemy's as they can. What if someone blew themselves up and took them along before the jackass got the chance to blow up that nice life preserver of explosives they wear? Would that negate the martyr clause?

I wish sodomization by elephant onto them.
The name Sammy Hagar conjures up a variety of emotions from music fans--from hate to contempt, from disgust to revulsion.

guitar mags have become a joke........as of late........

it seems just about any guy can be on the cover at any given time...

they like EVH in my opinion seem to be losing credability.... since '96

evh has contrdicted himself alot..........and dont even care to listen to
